Rural Access

Many individuals in our communities are not able to receive the needed healthcare simply because it is not accessible to them. Increasing access to care in rural communities greatly increases the overall health of a community.

School Based Health Centers (SBHCs)

School Based Health Centers (SBHCs) are medical clinics located on school campuses. SBHCs cab be fantastic partnership opportunities between medical providers and school districts to ensure an increased access to healthcare for students and their families. While a majority of SCBHs are in urban communities, HealthForce sees SBHCs as a great solution for rural communities. SBHCs have become a health resource for many individuals and with the proper collaboration between schools and the healthcare workforce we can definitely see an improvement of access to care and many individuals drive time to reach appointments will be reduced. School Based Health Centers will provide the basic care for many families who have no transportation and do not have the ability to pay out of pocket for services. HealthForce is here to be a bridge to many industries in order to provide these resources for implementation.

Community Access Reports

Access to care looks different for everyone in all communities. By conducting a community access report, we will be more informed of the demographics of each city, languages, cultures, income, payor mix, and commercial zones. Identifying these key factors will allow for further implementation of better access to care. Much of what we have seen in our access reports has shown us that many communities either have too many provider offices in one area of town or no medical offices due to lack of commercial space available to build new offices. This leads to many patients having to travel out of town to seek care. Community access reports will also help narrow down the type of specialties lacking in certain communities.
